Welcome Back
Scartho Dental Care would like to welcome you back
We are pleased to announce that Scartho Dental Care is now open and ready to start seeing our patients again. However, there are some changes to how the practice operates and limitations to some of the services we will be able to offer.
We are following guidance from the Faculty of General Dental Practice (FGDP) and from the Office of the Chief Dental Officer (OCDO).
As the status of this pandemic changes so will the guidance provided and therefore our operating procedures may change in line with the updated guidance.
We have set out below some of the things to expect when you attend your appointment.
The guidance asks that we operate a locked door policy in order to reduce the number of people in the practice at any one time.
Therefore only patients with a pre-booked appointment and who have been triaged for Coronavirus symptoms will be allowed into the practice. This means that appointments will not be able to be made in person at the practice, but will need to be made via the telephone.
When you have made your appointment over the phone, we will contact you by email or SMS with a link so that you can complete a medical history form including a COVID19 questionnaire and a treatment consent form.
These need to be completed before your appointment and can be returned electronically. If you do not use email or SMS then alternative arrangements will be made.
The staff that you encounter will be in appropriate PPE. For some appointments, this may appear very different from what you are used to. Remember we are still the same warm and friendly people that you have come to know over the years.
Here is what to expect on the day of your appointment:
Before you leave your house please clean your teeth and use your own bathroom, as unfortunately, we are unable to offer the use of ours.
Please come to your appointment by yourself and bring as little with you as possible.
Arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment.
We ask you to bring a face covering to wear whilst in the practice. This is in line with current guidelines.
The door to the practice will be locked. If there is no member of staff to greet you please knock and wait.
When you enter the building we will ask you to perform hand hygiene using hand sanitiser.
When your treatment is complete you will be asked to go to reception and make any payments that are due and book any future appointments. We prefer contactless payments if possible.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our patients for their continued support during this crisis.
